Along river Rhône.
Powerful mountains are coining the border between Switzerland and France and Lake Geneva offers still maritime flair. River Rhône leads you from here into the French region Rhône-Alpes. You pass snow-covered peaks, soft hills, vineyards and some of the most beautiful villages until you reach Lyon, the capital city of treats. About 30 museums as well as the beautiful old city sweeten your time between the meals.

Day 1: Arrival in Geneva/surroundings
Individual arrival to Annemasse - a suburb of Geneva. Enjoy your stay at the harbor with well-known fountain Jet d´Eau and the worth seeing old city – it presents itself cosmopolitan, full of art and life.
Day 2: Lake Geneva and Geneva approx. 55 km
Today you cycle along Lake Geneva. Your tour leads you through swiss-french border area. You pass the medieval villages of Yvoire (France) and Hermance (Switzerland), before you return via Annemasse back to Geneva. In the afternoon you have time for a stroll through the city.
Day 3: Geneva – Seyssel approx. 45-60 km
You leave Genève and follow river Rhône through the Défilé de l´Écluse, a narrow river alley through the mountains. Enjoy the views onto the Savoy Alps and Mont Blanc. Your tour ends in the village of Seyssel. Two bridges are connecting the beautiful houses and places left and right the Rhône with each other.
Day 4: Seyssel – Les Avenieres approx. 55-60 km
You cycle along the river to Chanaz with houses from 15th and 16th century. At the lake of Bourget, home of many birds, you follow the bike path to Lucey into the wine-maker region Savoie. Afterwards your tour leads via Massignieu and Bellay to the city of Les Aveniéres.
Day 5: Les Avenieres – Pérouges/Meximieux approx. 55 km
Today you cycle via narrow paths to the harbor of Briord. Along the river to Meximieux, where you stay overnight. The village lies below the romantic mountain village Pérouges with beautiful historic inner city.
Day 6: Pérouges/Meximieux – Lyon approx. 55 km
Along flat bike paths leads your way to Lyon. The city is part of UNESCO world cultural heritage since 1998. It offers about 30 museums and is the capital city of treats with exquisite cuisine.
Day 7: Return journey or additional nights in Lyon
Alternatively you can combine this tour with the tour “Lyon - Orange”.
