Explore the Hanseatic route in the Netherlands as it winds through the Rhine Valley, the Ijssel Valley, and the Dutch border lake region, adorned with charming fishing villages and idyllic landscapes. The flat terrain ensures cycling is a breeze, and the historical sites never fail to amaze. An exceptional aspect of this cycling tour is the accommodation where each night you'll reside on the MPS Liza Marleen, a ship thoughtfully and comfortably furnished. As you unwind on deck following your daily cycling stage, our floating hotel smoothly carries you to the next destination.

Your journey commences with boarding in Amsterdam and the initial leg to Wijk bij Duurstede, before embarking on the first cycling stage the next day near Wageningen. You pass through Veluwe National Park and reach Arnhem, where you have ample time to explore the city. Continuing the journey by ship, you head to Doesburg and then cycle through Bronkhorst to Zutphen, known as the City of Towers.

Throughout the upcoming days, you'll cruise distances by ship during breakfast and dinner, and in between, you'll hop on your bike. This will lead you to the Hanseatic city of Zwolle with its medieval city center and the charming fishing town of Elburg. Enjoy the Veluwemeer, inviting you for swimming and water sports. Along the coast and the Eem, you'll reach Spakenburg. The final stop is the Muiderslot Castle before the tour takes you back to Amsterdam.

  • Water sports and swimming at Lake Veluwe: Relaxation is a must! Take a break at Veluwemeer, one of the inland lakes of the Veluwerandmeere. Try your hand at kitesurfing or simply stretch out your legs on the beach.
  • Muiderslot Castle: The castle, located not far from Amsterdam, is around 700 years old and is a true sight to behold with its corner towers and moat. Besides serving as a residence, the castle is believed to have functioned at times as a court and a prison.
  • The many sights of Amsterdam: The characteristic canals give the Dutch capital a special atmosphere. There's something to see at every corner, whether in the numerous museums, the Red Light District, or at the Royal Palace, Paleis op de Dam.

Our cycling and sailing tours combine an active vacation with variety and comfort. In short, you opt for a holiday where nothing is lacking. A beautiful cycling route is complemented by relaxing boat trips and full board fine dining.
