Our cycling holidays on the Portuguese west coast are categorised as "Medium" and "Challenging". They are therefore aimed at cyclists with a good basic level of fitness through to experienced cyclists. If you decide to hire an e-bike from us, you can enjoy the landscape to the full without having to worry about your fitness.

Due to its close proximity to the sea, you can expect dishes with fish and seafood in particular. Grilled sardines and bacalhau (stockfish) in particular, as well as traditional dishes such as cataplana and arroz de marisco (seafood rice) are culinary highlights.

The ideal time to cycle along Portugal's west coast is from February to November. In autumn and spring, there is a little more rainfall around Porto, and the further south you go, the drier it gets.

You will find a colourful mix of cycle paths on Portugal's west coast. Many routes run on so-called ecovias, typical Portuguese cycle paths that also run on natural surfaces. You will also be travelling on farm tracks, low-traffic side roads and gravel paths.

As the Portuguese coast stretches from the north of the country to the south, it is not possible to make a general statement about the climate. The north is somewhat cooler and has more rainfall, the further south you go, the warmer and drier it gets. Compared to Central Europe, however, the climate is mild all year round with warm summers.
