Turquoise Sea in Sardinia

The Costa Smeralda in Sardinia is renowned for its beautiful beaches overlooking crystal-clear waters. Discover charming fishing villages such as Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo with exclusive marinas and first-class restaurants. The inland of Sardinia entices visitors with its rolling hills, olive groves and historical sites. In short, the Costa Smeralda is a paradise for cyclists who want to enjoy the sun, sea and cultural treasures. Cycling along the coast offers breathtaking views of white sandy beaches and azure blue sea - don't miss out!

Embark on your journey through the Costa Smeralda, starting from Cannigione, where enchanting beaches, turquoise-blue waters, and chic restaurants beckon. The following day's adventure begins with a visit to Palau, followed by a boat ride to La Maddalena, where you can immerse yourself in the island's delightful ambiance before heading back. Venturing into Sardinia's heartland, the route leads you through Arzachena and scenic cork oak forests to your third stop, Tempio Pausania.

The Valle de la Luna is truly wonderful, and at Aggius you'll return to the coast. Following a rejuvenating night in Castelsardo, pedal your way to Lu Bagnu, then journey back into the countryside. Sassari, Sardinia's second-largest city, boasts a wealth of delights, from fantastic bars and restaurants to cultural gems. A tranquil route awaits you on the final leg, but the destination makes it all worthwhile. Alghero is nothing short of breathtakingly beautiful!

  • The sophisticated flair of the Costa Smeralda: Porto Cervo is an exclusive vacation destination with luxurious marinas, designer boutiques and elegant restaurants. Enjoy the sophisticated ambience and the surrounding coastal landscape, which will take your breath away with its beauty.
  • The wonderful ambience in Alghero: The stunning city captivates with its Catalan architecture. Wander through the old town's narrow streets and savor the panoramic views from the city walls. Don't miss the chance to explore the nearby beaches, such as Maria Pia and Le Bombarde, for tranquil moments by the Mediterranean.
  • Fantastic beaches and sparkling sea: North-eastern Sardinia's Costa Smeralda is renowned for its stunning beaches. Must-visit spots include Spiaggia del Principe, boasting white sands and pine forests, and the secluded coves of Capriccioli, perfect for snorkeling. With an abundance of beaches to explore, you'll have plenty of opportunities for a refreshing swim during your vacation.

While Sardinia may be known as the playground of the wealthy and glamorous, it's the breathtaking views that truly encapsulate the island's allure. The daily stages offer a diverse range of challenges, making the route overall quite ambitious.

Cycling tours in Italy—depending on your destination, you'll find the sea, fine sandy beaches, picturesque lakes, or spectacular mountain ranges awaiting you. What you can be sure of everywhere is the relaxed way of life, exquisite cuisine, and unwavering hospitality.
