Austria´s City Trio

Easy

Where better to take a city break than Austria? Here, stunning Alpine backdrops blend seamlessly with rich history and well-developed bike paths. The highlights along the cycling journey from Innsbruck to Vienna are plentiful—and best discovered on two wheels.

Innsbruck’s star attraction, the Goldenes Dachl (Golden Roof), shines proudly in the heart of the Old Town. Built more than 500 years ago by Emperor Maximilian, it once gave him a front-row seat to the bustling city life below. Today, it’s a highlight for every active traveler. Take a leisurely stroll through the Old Town, stop for a coffee, and enjoy the stunning Alpine panorama that surrounds you.

Next up, Salzburg—the city of Mozart—is a cyclist’s dream. Roll along the Salzach River into the city, explore the historic fortress, wander through the beautiful Mirabell Gardens, and don’t forget to treat yourself to a classic apple strudel at one of the cozy traditional cafés.

And of course, no city break is complete without Vienna. The Viennese charm is everywhere in the city center, where every corner offers something new to discover. For us, a perfect cycling vacation in Vienna includes stops at Schönbrunn Palace, the Vienna State Opera, and the famous Wiener Würstelprater amusement park.

Germany´s Green Metropolis

Medium

Our neighboring country is full of vibrant cities perfect for a bike vacation in Germany. Several of our Eurobike cycling tours take you through the Bavarian city of Munich—and for good reason!

Thanks to a well-marked network of bike paths, a perfect mix of nature and historic city charm, plus plenty of cultural highlights, cycling here is a real treat. Munich’s most famous landmark has got to be the Hofbräuhaus—one of the oldest and most legendary beer halls worldwide, bursting with genuine Bavarian spirit. Alongside tasty local dishes, its beer garden is a favorite spot, especially when summer rolls around.

If you’re looking for a bit more peace and quiet, the Englischer Garten is just the place. This huge city park invites cyclists and walkers alike to kick back and enjoy some green calm right in the middle of the city.

Urban charm from Porto to Lisbon

Medium

When you think of Portugal, words like sun, sea, and wanderlust often come to mind. But here, you can perfectly combine an active holiday with a city break by bike. Especially the Eurobike cycling journey from Porto to Lisbon offers the best of two stunning cities.

In northern Portugal, Porto invites you to taste the world-famous port wine and explore numerous historic landmarks by bicycle. The enchanting Old Town guides you through narrow lanes past the cathedral and the Igreja dos Clérigos. Along the riverside in the Ribeira fishing district, you can admire the colorful townhouses and take a well-deserved cycling break.

In Lisbon, active travelers will find everything their heart desires. Between striking architecture and colorful streets, you can fully enjoy your cycling holiday. A ride on the iconic yellow tram is an absolute must—not to mention Tram 28E, which winds its way through some of Lisbon’s most charming neighborhoods. The Ponte 25 de Abril bridge is also a highlight on the list. Reminiscent of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge, it was built using steel from America, making it a striking landmark not to miss.
