Itinerary at a glance

Two UNESCO-listed Old Towns, serene Baltic coastlines, and the unspoiled island of Saaremaa define this cycling tour. Discover Latvia and Estonia where nature, culture, and wide-open maritime landscapes come together — diverse, relaxed, and full of special moments.

Your journey begins in Riga at a relaxed pace. After arrival, there’s time to gather your first impressions of the Latvian capital and soak in the city’s unique atmosphere.

The day begins with a guided exploration of Riga’s Old Town, where medieval history meets magnificent Art Nouveau façades. Afterwards, enjoy free time in the city or cycle along the well-maintained paths to Jurmala. This renowned seaside resort beckons with bright sandy beaches and fresh sea air. In the evening, the train brings you back to Riga.

After a transfer to the Estonian border, you’ll hop on your bike and follow the Baltic coast northward. The route passes quiet bays, fine sandy beaches, and expansive wetlands. Birdsong accompanies you through the reeds as the landscape opens wide. In the afternoon, you reach Pärnu, Estonia’s elegant summer capital, and settle into your hotel.

In the morning, a ferry takes you to the island of Saaremaa, where traditional Estonia still feels beautifully preserved. Quiet roads and flat terrain create ideal cycling conditions. Along the way, you pass the historic Angla windmills and the mysterious Kaali meteorite crater. Your destination is Kuressaare, the island’s capital, where you stay two nights in the heart of the Old Town.

Today you discover Saaremaa’s wilder side on a ride to the Sõrve Peninsula. Rugged coastal scenery and the striking lighthouse define this distinctive landscape. Back in Kuressaare, the impressive Bishop’s Castle from the 13th century awaits — one of the best-preserved medieval fortresses in the Baltics.

After a morning bus transfer to the mainland, continue your journey by bike. Following the Baltic coastline, you pass the Keila-Joa Waterfall and the dramatic Türisalu cliffs. Soon you arrive in Tallinn, Estonia’s capital. After checking in, a guided walk through the medieval Old Town brings its history and atmosphere vividly to life.
