Dresden is a captivating and sophisticated city, eagerly awaiting your visit. You'll stay in a charming hotel along the Elbe River, where your evenings will be as delightful as your days. Discover the numerous noteworthy sites and buildings within the city, and venture beyond its borders to explore the stunning surrounding countryside. Visit the majestic Moritzburg Castle, renowned both as an impressive, moated castle and a famous film location. The enchanting landscape of Saxon Switzerland will also captivate you. Clearly, this vacation promises an abundance of attractions and experiences.

Take a leisurely stroll through Dresden's Old Town, visiting the Semper Opera House and the Zwinger, and conclude your first evening with an exquisite dinner. The following day, travel along the Elbe to Pirna, a town that captivates with its quaint and charming old town. From there, the route leads to Radebeul, where you can catch a train to Moritzburg.

After a leisurely day in Dresden, your journey continues to Meissen, renowned for its porcelain and Albrechtsburg Castle. The final excursion takes you to the natural splendor of Saxon Switzerland. Here, you can relish breathtaking views from the rocky plateau of the Bastei and explore the fascinating Königsstein Fortress.

  • The cinematic Moritzburg: The castle is picturesquely situated on an artificial island in a pond and is surrounded by expansive landscaped gardens. A special highlight is the "Feather Room," adorned with intricate featherwork and considered a unique example of this type of decoration. The castle is also famous as a film set, notably for the fairytale movie "Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella."
  • Pure nature in Saxon Switzerland: Highlights include the Bastei with its breathtaking views and Königstein Fortress. Hikers and climbers will appreciate the Pfaffenstein with its striking Barbarine rock needle. No matter where you find yourself in this unique landscape, take time to enjoy the tranquility!
  • Dresden: In this magnificent city on the banks of the Elbe a visit to the impressive Frauenkirche is a must. This iconic church was rebuilt after its destruction in World War II and stands today as a symbol of peace and reconciliation. Don't miss the baroque Zwinger Palace, known for its captivating museums and beautifully maintained gardens, as well as the renowned Semper Opera House. These attractions are essential stops during your visit to Dresden.

You will cover a maximum of 50 kilometers during the daily excursions on two wheels. Thanks to the flat cycle paths, especially along the river, you'll easily master the activities. This allows you to fully enjoy your destinations and, importantly, your hotel. The travel package includes a variety of activities, such as a city tour in Dresden and a guided tour of Pirna.

The Elbe Cycle Path ranks among Germany's most popular long-distance cycling routes. Its tour variations, which include visits to vibrant cities like Hamburg and Dresden, are known for their flat terrain, making them ideal for leisure cyclists.
