Natural beach on the west coast

Sardinia is often referred to as the Caribbean of Europe, and for good reason—stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and charming bays that will surely captivate you during this eight-day cycling tour with Eurobike. Away from the coast, the route becomes hilly at times, with challenging climbs rewarded by breathtaking views of the island and the vastness of the Mediterranean. You'll rest and spend your nights in Mediterranean fishing villages and picturesque towns. One of the highlights is the cuisine, which is characterized by the island's finest products.

The serene yet beautiful town of Cabras marks the starting point of your journey. Right away, the Sinis Peninsula offers an attraction where you can observe flamingos and explore the ruins of Tharros. From Arborea, the route takes you along the Costa Verde to Arbus, and on the way to Nebida, you will pass by abandoned mines—a reminder of Sardinia's once-thriving industry.

You will begin your adventure cycling along stunning cliffside paths, followed by a ferry crossing to the picturesque island of San Pietro, and then on day five to the island of Sant’Antioco. From Calasetta, your route winds through Tratalias, where you'll marvel at its beautiful cathedral, and then continues on to San’Anna Arresi. The final stage is packed with unforgettable highlights. Along the breathtaking Costa del Sud, you'll be delighted by pristine white sand beaches and the mesmerizing turquoise sea. Your ultimate destination is the charming town of Pula—a dreamy spot where you can unwind and reflect on your journey. Alternatively, you might choose to extend your stay and soak in the beauty a little longer!

  • The ruins of Tharros are an archaeological site on the Sinis Peninsula on the west coast of Sardinia. Tharros was an ancient Phoenician and later Roman city. The ruins include remnants of temples, baths, houses, and a necropolis, offering insights into the lives and culture of its ancient inhabitants. Additionally, the peninsula is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, making it a popular destination.
  • Natural beauty and Mediterranean charm on the south coast: Between Cagliari and the Sant'Antioco Peninsula, the Costa del Sud enchants visitors with hidden coves and rocky cliffs. The coastal landscape is characterized by Mediterranean vegetation, including fragrant pine forests and macchia, and offers breathtaking views of the azure Mediterranean Sea.
  • The cliffs of Nebida: This wonder forms an impressive coastal landscape on the southwestern coast of Sardinia. This coastline is characterized by towering limestone and slate cliffs that rise dramatically above the turquoise Mediterranean Sea. Nebida is renowned for its stunning coastal formations, such as the Pan di Zucchero rock pillars and the natural grottos along the shore.

The Sardinian itinerary offers a delightful variety of experiences—you'll encounter dramatic cliffs, stunning beaches, and explore the island's interior. The difficulty levels of each stage vary, so having cycling experience is definitely recommended.
