This circular tour, which starts along the Rhine, is a journey of discovery through the protected natural landscapes and remarkable cultural heritage of the Palatinate Forest and the Northern Vosges Nature Park, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. On cycle paths and small hilly roads, you will discover the baroque town of Rastatt, typical Alsatian villages, the vineyards of Cleebourg, beech, oak and Scots pine forests that reveal meadows and orchards here and there, Romanesque churches, the steep Zorn valley across the Rhine plain to the cycling city of Strasbourg. The Alsatian capital with its cosmopolitan flair and European culture is just the right end to this cycle tour through the PAMINA region.
