Stretching across parts of the German states of Brandenburg and Saxony, the Lusatia region is situated not far from the Polish border, where you'll discover Sorbian folklore and traditional customs. Cycling between the Elbe and Spree rivers, you'll encounter delightful nature and charming towns such as Bautzen and Görlitz. Explore this serene and charming destination with Eurobike during the eight-day tour, which seamlessly combines a unique culture with picturesque landscapes.

Dresden is a city worth visiting twice, which is why you'll experience its beauty both at the beginning and end of your vacation. Along the Elbe, the route initially takes you to Kamenz and then deeper into the Lausitz Lake District and Spremberg. The landscape gardens near Bad Muskau are perfect for a leisurely stroll before cycling into the historic old town of Görlitz along the Neisse River.

On day 6, the stage is marked by the untamed beauty of nature, although the winding streets of your destination, Bautzen, are also enchanting. Just before the end of your journey, a scenic highlight awaits you in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains of Saxon Switzerland. From Pirna, the final stage brings you back to Dresden, where you can reflect on the day with a view of the Semperoper and the Zwinger.

  • The Lusatian Lake District: Created from former open-cast mining areas, the lakes are a paradise for water sports enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. Explore hidden beaches and coves along the numerous bodies of water, such as Lake Senftenberg, and indulge in activities like sailing, surfing, and pedal boating.
  • The botanical UNESCO World Heritage Site: The Fürst Pückler Park in Bad Muskau impresses with its ornate gardens and historic buildings. Take a leisurely stroll through the expansive parks on foot or simply opt for a bicycle ride. Explore the castle and savor the tranquility as you enjoy a picnic amidst the breathtaking natural scenery.
  • The historical flair of Dresden: The baroque Old Town, the Semper Opera House, and the Frauenkirche are perennial attractions in the Saxon capital. Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy the panoramic view from the Blue Wonder, also known as the Loschwitz Bridge. Keep in mind that Dresden is a university city with numerous bars and restaurants, while the Great Garden offers a serene escape from the bustle.

The Sorbs region, nestled in Lusatia, presents a captivating destination for cycling tours. With well-developed cycling paths, it provides an ideal opportunity for extensive exploration and enjoyment of its rich history and stunning natural scenery. The stages range from 25 to 65 kilometers and offer a diverse experience, with flat terrain along the rivers and challenging climbs in Saxon Switzerland.
