A Strong Performance at the Schleedorf 6-a-side Tournament

To mark the 50th anniversary of USV Schleedorf, our colleagues got the chance to show off their ball skills on the pitch. The team’s name wasn’t just a playful nod to our company, Eurofun — it also captured the spirit of our crew: full of teamwork, passion for the game, and tons of motivation.

Football & Sportsmanship

The tournament took place at the Schleedorf Arena, with a 5+1 format and 10-minute matches. Under the blazing sun, the heat demanded everything from our players — and they delivered with heart and hustle.

Player-coach Mike took charge of the game plan and made sure the team was tactically locked-in. With a solid squad of 10 players, we kept fresh legs on the field through regular rotations, all under the blazing sun. Between the posts, goalkeeper Hannes was a commanding presence; his size and calm nerves turned away some seriously tricky shots. In defense, Joscha stood steady like a rock in the surf, using his savvy experience to steady the ship again and again. Alongside Sebi, he shut down space and disrupted the opponent’s rhythm.

Coach Mike kept the energy flowing with smart substitutions — bringing on Tobi H., Felix, and Tobi F. for fresh legs and new momentum. Kati was a powerhouse addition to the lineup, bringing strong female fire. She gave it everything, especially in the first match, coming heartbreakingly close to scoring but just missing a crucial chance.

Young and quick on their feet, strikers Manuel and Jonas kept the pressure on the opposing defense with their speed and relentless drive—netting a total of five impressive goals. Each one was met with roaring cheers from the sidelines and our hype man Basti, who blasted the speakers to max volume every time the ball hit the back of the net!

Despite plenty of scoring opportunities and a solid performance, we ultimately had to settle for 4th place in the group stage, setting up a knockout clash against the winner of Group 2. What a thriller that was! Spectators were treated to a real nail-biter. Our team held strong and kept the pressure on—everything pointed to a draw. But in the end, we narrowly lost 1–0, missing that little bit of luck we needed to convert our chances.

Still, it was precisely that fighting spirit and team camaraderie that made this tournament an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

The third half

After the tournament, everyone came together for a relaxed get-together, where the atmosphere was just as great as on the field. All in all, it was an awesome event that showed we Eurofighters are a strong team—not just at work, but on the pitch too. We’re already looking forward to next time—when we’ll give it our all again!
