Cycle through picturesque Bavarian villages, past Kufstein's castle, Wasserburg's historic center, and Burghausen's longest castle complex in Europe. Explore pilgrimage sites Altötting and Marktl, the Lower Inn European Reserve, and baroque towns including Schärding. End in Passau at the confluence of three rivers.
The green river Inn winds its way from the Austrian Alps into Bavaria, then follows the state border and merges with the river Ilz and the blue Danube in Passau. Join the river on this journey and discover the magnificent surrounding landscapes. The history of the towns along the Inn is captivating, as they have endured floods for centuries and the river served as a crucial trade route in the past. Enjoy stunning mountain vistas around Innsbruck, and explore the baroque town squares of Schärding and Obernberg. Along the way, you'll find many more cultural, culinary, and historical highlights!

The Inn cycle path follows the river of the same name always in sight. You cycle from the Tyrolean mountains through Bavaria to Upper Austria. The end of the cycle tour is the border town of Passau, where you can watch the impressive confluence of the Inn, Danube and Ilz rivers in amazement. Other highlights on your cycle tour are the Alpine town of Innsbruck, the fortified towns of Kufstein and Burghausen and the picturesque baroque towns of Obernberg and Schärding.
Along the routing or in the river valley of the Inn there is almost an entirely flat route, three stages with short steep climbs.
