Several castles lead the way to Brixlegg and then Rattenberg, which is Tyrol's smallest city. After passing the “Kundler Klamm” (Kundler Flume) and Wörgl you will arrive in Kufstein, the “Pearl of Tyrol”.
You cycle to the border with german and after going through the custom 's office in Windshausen, the cycle path runs along the dam almost all the way to Rosenheim. Afterwards you cycle through smaller provincial towns to Wasserburg.
Today you cycle via Gars, Kraiburg and St. Erasmus to Mühldorf am Inn and in doing so you will go past castles and palaces. The main square is very typical of Mühldorf itself, which is surrounded by beautiful middle-class houses some of which date back to the 15th and 16th Centuries.
Today you cycle to Marktl via Töging. You will pass the confluence of the Inn and Salzach rivers before reaching Braunau am Inn. It is worth having a lcok around this beautifully restored town. The city's tower dates back to the 13th Century and the parish church has got the third tallest steeple in all of Austria. You will either stay in Brauan or in Prienbach.
A narrow path leads you into the European reserve “Unterer Inn” (Lower Inn), a nature protective area with a colourful flora and fauna. Via the 1000-year old town of Obernberg and Reichersberg where the cloister garden of the Augustinian Monastery invites you to take a rest, the cycle path leads you into the Baroque city of Schärding or further to Passau.
On your departure day you have the got the possibility to cycle Passay via Wernstein along the river Inn. You can then have a look around and then return to Schärding by bike. If you don't want to cycle anymore we recommend that you travel home via Passau so you still get to have a look around.
