This cycling round trip explores Bavaria's stunning lake region, covering approximately 110 km over 3 days. The route leads from Lake Starnberg through traditional Bavarian villages to Murnau on Lake Staffelsee, past Lake Kochel and Benediktbeuern to Bad Tölz, before returning to the starting point. The tour features scenic bike paths, peaceful side roads, and mostly paved routes with few short climbs, making it generally easy. Highlights include views of the Wetterstein Mountains and Zugspitze.

Pedal through mystical moorlands, wander charming villages en route to the impressive market square of Bad Tölz. Yet it’s the warm hospitality and hearty cuisine that truly leave a lasting impression. Along the way, be sure to pause at a traditional beer garden and enjoy a Maß paired with some classic Bavarian cuisine.
This tour is generally easy, featuring just a few short climbs. Beginning at Lake Starnberg, you’ll follow scenic bike paths and peaceful side roads. Most of the route is paved, with some longer sections on well-maintained gravel or natural surfaces. Main roads are only encountered briefly.
