Do you have questions about this tour?
Embedded in beautiful nature Lake Chiemsee lies in front of the breathtaking backdrop of the Alps. With your bike you will cycle from highlight to highlight and enjoy the impressive Alpine panoramic views. You will pass idyllic Lake Walchsee to reach the climatic spa town of Reit im Winkl. Further you will cycle to Ruhpolding, famous for Biathlon in winter, and to tranquil town of Inzell. Enjoy the royal spa garden of Bad Reichenhall and the scenery at Lake Königssee next to Berchtesgaden with its surrounding peaks. Through the UNESCO-World cultural city Salzburg and the prealpine land you will get back to Lake Chiemsee. You will be enchanted during this cycling holidays in one of the most beautiful parts of Germany with every pedal rotation.
Even the first stage to nature-orientated Reit im Winkl is perfectly complemented by a detour to the Austrian Walchsee. Dive into one of the warmest bathing lakes in Tyrol. On day 3, the highlights come thick and fast: Explore the famous winter sports resort of Ruhpolding, enjoy the local culinary delights in Inzell and float in the thermal spa in Bad Reichenhall.
Via Berchtesgaden you cycle along the most beautiful paths to the Mozart city of Salzburg. Here you should plan enough time to explore the world-famous corners of the old town. You will not be disappointed, because Salzburg is simply magnificent! On the way back to the Chiemsee, you will pass two more beautiful, smaller lakes in the region - the Waginger See and Tüttensee.
Herreninsel and Fraueninsel on the Chiemsee: Two places so beautiful and full of history. The two islands exude a very special atmosphere that is waiting to be discovered. Did you know that the foundation stone for the German constitution was laid on Herreninsel? And that Fraueninsel is one of the oldest artist colonies on the continent?
Impressive Alpine panorama: You can enjoy incredibly beautiful views the entire route, but it also has its charm from above. Take the world's oldest cable car up to the Predigtstuhl, for example.
The Watzmann towers over Königssee almost like a protector - a sight that casts a spell over you. Incidentally, the famous lake has drinking water quality, and only electric boats and rowing boats sail here. All the more reason to take a dip in the crystal-clear waters.
The Mozart city of Salzburg: No matter where you are in the world, when you talk about Austria, almost everyone knows the Mozart city. And rightly so! The baroque architecture makes the old town a jewel you absolutely must explore.
Although the mountains rise steeply all around, this tour can be described as a bit hilly. The great route leads along the Mozart Cycle Path, which follows in the footsteps of the famous composer and is just as excellently signposted as the other stages. You can relax in the beautiful 3 star hotels, inns and guesthouses that have been carefully selected for you by our team.
