On board, you can always pay in cash. On many ships, payment by debit card as well as major credit cards like Visa or Mastercard is also accepted. You can find detailed information about this in your travel documents.

If you follow a vegetarian diet or require special or easily digestible meals, please inform us when booking, or at the latest 14 days before your travel starts. We will do our best to accommodate your requests. You may need to bring any specific diet products yourself. The surcharge on board is usually around EUR 25 to 50 per person for the entire travel.

Breakfast on board is served buffet-style. For the cycling stages, you can prepare your own lunch package from the breakfast buffet. If you are on board during lunchtime, a light midday snack is provided instead. In the evening, you can enjoy a three-course dinner. If you return to the ship in the afternoon, coffee or tea is often served as well.

All indoor areas on the ships are strictly non-smoking zones. Smoking is only permitted on the sun deck. We kindly ask you to be considerate of your fellow passengers.

A good bike is the foundation for an unforgettable cycling vacation. Information about the available rental bikes can be found in the “Rental Bikes” section of each vacation. E-bikes are available on board the ships in limited numbers, so we recommend reserving them early.

Bringing your own bike is possible upon request. Please note that an additional fee applies, and space is limited. We do not assume any liability for potential damages, including transport damage during loading and unloading between ship and shore, as well as for loss or theft. Please note that only e-bikes with removable batteries can be transported. Bike repairs must be handled by you independently. Our roadside assistance service does not cover personal bikes.

Unfortunately, special-sized bikes such as tricycles or tandems cannot be transported.

A repair kit for minor breakdowns and flat tires is included with all rental bikes. If you need further assistance, the onboard tour guide or captain is always reachable by phone and ready to help you.

Engelszell Abbey

Tucked away near Engelhartszell, this quaint monastery is Austria’s only Trappist abbey — a hidden gem full of charm. Its baroque church, richly adorned in delicate rococo details, is a sight to behold on its own. Adding to the experience, the monks lovingly craft their own liqueurs, beer, and cheese following centuries-old traditions — offering the perfect, heartfelt reward after a day of cycling.

Schlögener Loop

The Schlögener Loop is a stunning marvel of nature, where the Danube bends in a dramatic 180-degree curve, embraced by lush, forested hills. The best way to soak in this spectacle is from the easily reached “Schlögener Blick” viewpoint, perched just above the river’s graceful sweep.
