Why Bike & Boat along the Main?

Along the Main River, the pace is calm and unhurried – flat paths, little traffic, and beautiful scenery. Perfect for those who prefer taking in the landscape rather than tackling steep climbs.

Whether it’s Würzburg, Miltenberg, or Wertheim – the Main is lined with charming towns full of history, lovingly preserved half-timbered houses, and deep-rooted wine traditions. Here, you cycle not only through nature but also right through the heart of culture.

Meadows, forests, vineyard terraces – the Main winds its way through ever-changing landscapes, from the Fichtel Mountains to the Franconian Wine Country and into Hesse. Peaceful river meadows, shaded woodland paths, and wide-open views alternate along the way. Ideal for those who like it leisurely, but love variety.

Your ship is always close by – while you enjoy the scenery by bike, your luggage is conveniently transported from place to place. In the evening, your cabin awaits, along with a freshly tapped beer or a glass of wine and a delicious dinner on board. That’s what a real holiday feels like.

Along the Main, food and drink are honest and hearty. Franconian Silvaner straight from the winemaker, rustic snacks in traditional beer gardens, homemade cakes from the village bakery – culinary stops are truly worth it here. Almost every small town has its own specialties.
