A bicycle stands on a footbridge in Weyerbucht in Mattsee with a view of Schlossberg mountain

Scenic and cultural highlights as far as the eye can see – the lake district in Austria near the world-famous Mozart city of Salzburg offers countless possibilities. This tour is based in one hotel. This means that you have accommodation as a base for the entire trip and take day drips from there.

You stay in a fantastic location in Seeham on Obertrumer See – the perfect starting point for leisurely tours. Wallersee, Mondsee and Irrsee are just three of the great bodies of water in which you can dip your feet. This tour impresses with many included services such as a visit to Gut Aiderbichl or a tasty ‘Jause’ during one of the lunch breaks.

A visit to the ‘Silent Night’ town of Oberndorf is on the programme, as well as a trip to Hallein. Over green meadows and pretty villages you go to the Michaelbeauern Monastery.

  • Mirabell Garden in Salzburg: Of course you must visit the festival city. As well as the Getriedegasse and the Cathedral, the Mirabell Gardens are particularly worth visiting. Labyrinths, sculptures or the palm house transport guests back in time.
  • The steeply towering Drachenwand at the Mondsee offers views that are second to none. Anyone planning a hike to the top should be aware that the path from Mondsee in particular is only for experienced hikers! Alternatively, an easier tour starts in Fuschl and the view is fabulous.
  • Jause at the Mostheuriger: Have a leisurely stop and enjoy rustic delicacies straight from the farm – it tastes great! Try a pastry too! To say goodbye, toast the tour with a homemade schnapps!
  • Wonderful swimming in the lakes: Whether water skiing, banana boat or sailing – numerous beaches on the beautiful lakes and leisure activities are great.

The day trips of the rallies are variable, you can choose when you want to do which tour. The approximately 45-kilometre-long stages are sometimes supplemented by transfers to make the day’s destinations as pleasant as possible. On the cycle paths are flat and hilly passages.
