Exterior view of the MS Serena

Northern Holland, MS Serena

IJsselmeer & North Sea Beaches

8 Days / 7 Nights
Exterior view of the MS Serena

Your bike & boat tour with Eurobike starts in the land of windmills, sand dunes and tulip fields. With the MS Serena you sail in North Holland between the North Sea, Wadden Sea and IJsselmeer. Every time you land, you hop onto the saddle and discover the varied and fascinating landscapes and distinctive villages. You and your bike will be surrounded by fields, tranquillity and the gentle sounds of the sea. Already convinced? Then read more details now!

You spend seven nights on the MS Serena, which bypasses the bays of the stormy North Sea. The starting point is the capital of the Netherlands, Enkhuizen. From there the ship will take you to Hoorn, Enkhuizen, Lemmer, up to the sunny island of Texel and back to the starting point in Enkhuizen. You will be spoiled for choice for six days. You can hop onto the saddle and admire the landscape of Sint Marrtensvoltbrug and Alkmaar. Alternative: shorten the route with the MS Serena. It is up to you!

Tip: From April to September, it is worth visiting the cheese market in Alkmaar! Collect memories and shoot photos of grazing sheep, spinning windmills and buy typical Dutch ‘Klompen’ on a market stand.

  • ‘Woudagemaal’ steam pumping station: This is the largest and only operational steam pumping station in the village of Tacozijl. The plant architecture is also well worth seeing!
  • Sunny island of Texel: Nowhere in Holland does the sun shine more often than on the Dutch North Sea island. So be sure to pack the sunscreen.

Aboard the MS Serena you sail for eight days on the IJsselmeer to the idyllic North Sea beaches. The ship offers 50 cabins, an air-conditioned restaurant and decks that are great for taking a nap in the sun. After arriving in Enkhuizen, you cycle between 20 and 60 kilometres per day on flat paths surrounded by water, dikes and dunes. A relaxing cycle tour for the hobby cyclist who appreciates the peace and space of nature.

This combined bike and boat tour takes you to remote areas and picturesque fishing villages in the land of windmills – Holland.
