The land of 3.000 lakes
Masuria is unbelievably beautiful: The country of 3.000 lakes and millions of white storks. Huge native forests and nature parks, wide heather plains and wonderful clean rivers and crystal clear lakes are part of the scenery, as are century old avenues. On the bicycle tour and during the extensive programme with boating, a kayak tour and many sightseeing tours you discover a country young at heart and the hospitality of the people living here. Be impressed by the unusually rich varieties of flora and fauna. Summer meadows gleaming in all possible colours catch your attention as well as the many bird species, first of all of course the “heraldic bird of Masuria”, the white stork. The people were very careful with the nature of the Masuria. So the home of the poets Siegfried Lenz and Ernst Wiechert is until now the green lung of Europe. Breathe deeply: welcome in Masuria.
Before delving into the unique nature of Masuria, you'll begin your journey with a visit to the Polish capital, Warsaw. From there, you'll reach your destination region via bus transfer, making your first stop in Krutyn. A loop tour will then take you through the Piska primeval forest and along the shores of Lake Drusen. Continuing on, you'll cycle through the Masurian Landscape Park and cross the ferry to Nikolai.
Enjoy a loop tour along the shores of the Masurian Lakes, soaking in the breathtaking scenery. On day 6, cultural sites await you, including the Masurian Museum and the Wolf's Lair. Enjoy the idyllic paths leading to Sorquitten and the final stage destination of Heilige Linde. Conclude your journey with a bus ride back to Warsaw.
The landscape of Masuria is characterized by countless lakes and rivers, making the region exceptionally pristine and beautiful. However, be prepared for some hilly sections along the route. In addition to bus transfers and daily luggage transfers, the tour package also includes a boat ride from Nikolaiken to the Rhine and a sightseeing tour in Warsaw.
