One enchanting hotspot follows the next: Tyrolean warmth welcomes you in Innsbruck, South Tyrolean charm in Bolzano, delightful ambiance in Verona, and finally the Mediterranean atmosphere of the lagoon city, Venice. A glance at the Golden Roof (Goldenes Dachl) signals your approach to the Brenner Pass, framed by breathtaking mountain panoramas. Pedal through South Tyrol’s orchards and vineyards to reach the bishop’s town of Bressanone and greet Ötzi in Bolzano. Charming cities like Ala and Trento await along the way, inviting you to savor their culture and cuisine before the iconic Arena di Verona comes into view.The grand finale will take place in Venice.
Beautifully designed bike paths await you in the Eisack and Adige river valleys. From Verona onward, you’ll mainly cycle on low-traffic side roads. After the transfer to the Brenner Pass, the route descends a total of 1,300 meters (about 4,265 feet), with only a few short climbs near Lake Caldaro and just before Verona. The only challenging section is the Monte Berici hill near Vicenza (about 400 meters / 1,312 feet of elevation). This is a cycling tour suitable for all levels!
