Route Overview

Medium

Experience the Lake Constance Cycle Path, one of Europe’s most scenic cycling routes, circling Germany’s largest lake. Of the 270 kilometers of shoreline, around 260 can be explored by bike. As one of Central Europe’s largest lakes, Lake Constance offers the perfect playground for active adventures on two wheels.

The popular cycle path hugs the shoreline for most of the way, treating you to unforgettable views of the sparkling water. Each year, more than 200,000 cyclists are drawn here, enjoying their favorite pastime in the mild climate of the three-country corner where Germany, Austria, and Switzerland meet. And it’s no surprise—around 70% of the route runs on car-free paths and quiet side roads, a figure that earns cyclists’ wholehearted applause. Get ready for carefree cycling along the shores of breathtaking Lake Constance!
